The city of Rheinbach has been awarded with the Konrad-Adenauer-Price for the project on aerial thermography in fields of innovative projects initiated by cities or municipalities. Within the EUROSENSE project heat losses from roofs have been pictured and all house owners did receive their individual thermal image by mail. The pilot project was executed in partnership with RWE Deutschland and TÜV Rheinland and has been reproduced in the last two years together with other German cities like Essen, Arnsberg, Dorsten and others. Happy about the appreciation of our work, Mr. Raetz (mayor of the city of Rheinbach) pointed out the big success to activate owners to improve the energy efficiency of their house. Besides this, he recognized also the good cooperation between all involved partners within the project execution.
