First actual thermal images delivered to the cities of Essen and Arnsberg.
More than 40.000 images were taken during four successful flight missions in March and April 2013 and are being processed to thermal orthos covering the complete cities of Essen and Arnsberg. The project in Essen is the first of this kind for a major city in Germany, capturing thermal images for more than 200.000 buildings to detect heat losses. The shown thermal image, pictures the city hall in Essen. Besides the thermal data acquisition, also detailed interpretation is done by EUROSENSE and individual information for all house owners is prepared in cooperation with TÜV Rheinland GmbH in accordance to German data privacy law. The innovative projects are well recognized in local and national media: link to newspaper article NRZ, link to TVreport of WDR.
